While brutal force has been used to create Zionist Israel and sustain it thus far, Zionist claims to Palestine are false. Actually, from the five thousand years of known written human history, there has been a continuous Palestinian-Canaanite presence in the Holy Land. Despite the Zionist false claims, the ancient Israelites ruled part of the land for only 85 years (during the reign of Prophets David and Solomon , peace be upon them, and Solomon's son).

After that, the Egyptians conquered Palestine-Canaan in 925 BC, followed by Assyrians, Babylonians, Persians, Greeks, and Romans, before the Arab Muslim rule, starting from 636 AD.

By the Time Jesus, peace be upon him, started his mission, the three population groups of Canaanites, Palestinians, and Israelites were melted together in religion and language. Most of them became Christians when Constantine converted in 313 AD. Then, most of them became Muslims in the 7th and 8th centuries AD.

So, Palestinian Muslims, Christians, and Jews are the ones who have the right to claim descent from ancient Israelites, Palestinians, and Canaanites, not Zionists from other continents.

No matter what the Zionists and their supporters do, they cannot change the will of God, Who promised the Holy Land to Abraham and his descendants, basically the Palestinian Muslims and Christians.

No matter how much persecution and aggression the Zionists and their supporters inflict upon the Palestinian people, they will never be able to force them out of the Holy Land, which Allah, praise to Him, promised for them, and kept His promise ever since.

This is a necessary brief background to understand the US-Backed Zionist Israeli continuous wars against the Arab nation generally, and the Palestinian people in particular, which included the wars of 1948, 1956, 1967, 1978, 1982, the brutal crushing of the two Uprisings (1987-1993 and 2000-2004), 2009, 2012, 2014, 2021, and the current genocidal war on Gaza (Since October 7, 2023), which has culminated a blockade of Gaza since 2007. In addition, the Israeli occupation and apartheid regime launched so many covert operations, raids, and air strikes on many Arab states since 1948.

The following news stories are just examples, not a systematic record, of the Israeli occupation government abuse, mistreatment, and violations of Palestinian human rights, on daily basis.

PGMO urges global action to stop Israeli attacks on hospitals

Monday 30-June-2025

GAZA, (PIC)

The Palestinian Government Media Office (PGMO) in Gaza has issued an urgent appeal to the international community, the United Nations, and global human rights and humanitarian organizations to take immediate steps to halt Israeli war crimes against Gaza’s health sector and to provide international protection for hospitals and medical workers.

The call comes after Israeli occupation forces (IOFs) launched an airstrike on a tent sheltering displaced civilians within the grounds of Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in Dair El-Bala'h on Monday. The attack marked the twelfth strike on the hospital since Israel began its ongoing genocide against Gaza in October 2023.

According to the PGMO, the airstrike caused multiple injuries and significant structural damage, posing a direct threat to patients in nearby wards. The blast occurred just meters from the internal medicine department.

“This barbaric and continued aggression is a flagrant war crime and part of a broader campaign of genocide,” the media office stated, placing full responsibility on Israeli authorities, the US administration, and nations complicit through support or silence.

PGMO described the strike as part of a deliberate pattern of attacks on Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital, suggesting a coordinated effort to dismantle Gaza’s healthcare infrastructure. It emphasized that targeting medical facilities and civilians is a clear violation of international humanitarian law.

Since the start of the genocide, the PGMO has documented 12 separate attacks on Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital, including three drone strikes on its roof earlier this month, on June 4. The most recent airstrike, on June 30, added to the growing list of violations against protected civilian infrastructure.

The Israeli war of genocide—backed by the United States—has left over 56,500 Palestinian martyrs, more than 133,000 wounded, and over 11,000 missing, according to local health authorities. In addition to the staggering human toll, more than two million Palestinians are enduring mass displacement and catastrophic humanitarian conditions, including famine.

'Hamas: Gaza beach massacre part of Israel’s ethnic cleansing campaign

Monday 30-June-2025

GAZA, (PIC)

The 'Hamas Movement has condemned a deadly Israeli airstrike on a Gaza City beach resort as a deliberate massacre and part of a broader campaign of systematic ethnic cleansing against the Palestinian people.

On Monday evening, Israeli occupation forces (IOFs) bombed the cafe called "Al-Baqa Rest House" on the Gaza beach, killing at least 33 civilians, including women, children, and two journalists. The strike caused widespread destruction at the resort, which had been crowded with displaced families seeking refuge from ongoing bombardment in eastern areas of the city.

Among the victims was journalist Isma'eel Abu Hatab, as well as Mustafa Abu 'Ameera, Hisham Ayman Mansour, 'Husam Mansour, and activist 'Omar Zaino. A female journalist was also reported among the martyrs.

'Hamas described the attack as a “horrific massacre” and accused the IOF of escalating their campaign of genocide by deliberately targeting civilians.

The Movement warned that the repeated bombings of residential neighborhoods, aid distribution points, and shelters for displaced persons point to a systematic effort to wipe out Gaza’s population.

“This is not random violence—it is a war crime and ethnic cleansing carried out in full view of the world,” Hamas said in its statement, accusing Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of acting with impunity and desperation after nearly two years of failed attempts to crush Palestinian resistance.

Hamas called on Arab and Islamic nations, as well as free people around the world, to take urgent and meaningful action to halt Israel’s genocidal war and stand against the wider threat it poses to the region.

580 Palestinians killed, 4,216 injured in the death trap at US-backed aid distribution centers

Monday 30-June-2025

GAZA, (PIC)

The Palestinian Government Media Office in Gaza has announced that approximately 580 Palestinians have been killed and 4,216 injured, with 39 still missing, as a result of continued Israeli attacks targeting civilians waiting for humanitarian aid.

In a statement issued on Sunday, the Office condemned the ongoing crimes committed by the Israeli occupation army against starving civilians.

The statement held the Israeli occupation and its partners in the campaign of genocide, most notably the United States, the United Kingdom, France, and Germany, fully responsible, both legally and morally, for executing and supporting the extermination of civilians in the Gaza Strip.

The Office further called on the international community and all free nations to exert pressure on Israel to open border crossings, lift the blockade, and allow the entry of humanitarian aid into Gaza before it is too late.

Since the early hours of Sunday, 88 Palestinians have been killed and 365 wounded in Israeli attacks across Gaza over the past 24 hours, including 18 who were waiting for humanitarian aid.

Palestinian detainee from Jineen dies in Israeli custody

RAMALLAH, April 20, 2025 (WAFA) –

The Civil Affairs Commission has informed both the Commission of Detainees and Ex-Detainees Affairs and the Palestinian Prisoner’s Society (PPS) that a Palestinian administrative detainee has died at the Israeli occupation apartheid regime prison, called Soroka Medical Center.

The 22-year-old detainee, Lo-ay Faysal Nasrullah, from Jineen, was transferred to Soroka hospital from the Negev Prison, where he died today, adding to the growing list of Palestinians who have died as a result of the intensified and systematic crimes committed by the Israeli prison system since the onset of the ongoing genocide. According to his family, Nasr-Allah had no prior health issues before his detention.

Nasrullah was detained and held under administrative detention on March 26, 2024.

With Nasrullah’s death, the number of prisoners and detainees who have died since the beginning of the genocide has risen to 73, whose identities are known.

This period has been the deadliest in the history of the Palestinian prisoner movement since 1967. As a result, the total number of Palestinian detainees who have died in Israeli prisons since 1967 has risen to 310.

It is important to note that many detainees from Gaza remain subject to the crime of enforced disappearance.

The Commission and PPS emphasized that the rising number of deaths among detainees will continue to grow as more Palestinians remain in Israeli prisons, where they face daily abuse, including torture, starvation, medical neglect, sexual violence and conditions that lead to severe and contagious diseases. In addition, there is an unprecedented level of deprivation and dispossession.

The Commission and PPS held the Israeli occupation fully responsible for the death of Nasr-Allah. They reiterated their calls for the international human rights community to take decisive action to hold Israeli officials accountable for the ongoing war crimes they are committing against the Palestinian people.

In a joint statement, they called for the imposition of sanctions to isolate Israel internationally and restore the role of the international human rights system, which has been severely weakened during the genocide. They also urged an end to the exceptional immunity Israel has been granted by colonial powers, which have allowed it to evade accountability and punishment.

Israeli occupation forces detain 15 Palestinians, including women and children, in Masafir Yatta after colonist assault

Al-Khaleel (Hebron), June 30, 2025 (WAFA) –

The Israeli occupation forces on Monday detained 15 Palestinians, including women and children, following an attack carried out by colonists on residents in Khirbet Al-Majaz, located in Masafir Yatta, south of Al-Khaleel (Hebron), according to local sources.

Osama Makhamra, a local media activist, told WAFA News Agency that a group of the illegal Israeli settlers released their livestock into cultivated Palestinian farmland planted with agricultural crops and fruit-bearing trees, causing massive damage to large portions owned by residents of Khirbet Al-Majaz.

Local residents attempted to halt the illegal settlers from further destroying their farmlands, they were reportedly attacked by the colonists. Instead of restraining the colonists, Israeli forces attacked the Palestinians, chased them through the area, and detained 15 people, claiming they had “assaulted the settlers.”

The detentions come amid a surge in colonist violence in Masafer Yatta, where Palestinians face an ongoing campaign of forced displacement and systematic denial of access to their agricultural and pastoral lands.

Israeli occupation forces target media personnel in Jineen

Jineen, June 24, 2025 (WAFA) –

Israeli occupying forces on Monday evening directly targeted media personnel in the vicinity of Jineen Government Hospital and on the outskirts of the refugee camp, according to local sources and eyewitnesses.

They said that the gun-toting soldiers opened live fire at a group of journalists and photographers as the latter were reporting on Israel’s large-scale demolitions of commercial stores, putting their lives at risk.

Meanwhile, Israeli occupation army bulldozers continued to raze the Al-'Hissan Roundabout and the vicinity of Jineen Government Hospital, tearing down residential buildings and stores, all as part of Israel’s plan envisaging the demolition of 95 houses in the refugee camp, marking a grave escalation against civilian infrastructure and vital amenities.

Since January 21, the occupying forces have waged a large-scale offensive on Jineen and its refugee camp, resulting in the displacement of approximately 22,000 civilians, the killing of at least 40 others, and the injury of over 200 others.

In the course of this offensive, they have completely demolished over 600 houses and bulldozed nearly 15 roads, rendering the refugee camp virtually uninhabitable.

Jineen, June 30, 2025 (WAFA) –

Israeli bulldozers on Monday demolished residential homes and commercial properties in the vicinity of Jineen Government Hospital.

According to local sources, the demolitions took place around Al-Hissan Roundabout in the Jenin refugee camp, targeting homes and shops, The Israeli occupation army also reportedly fired live ammunition heavily at residential buildings in the area earlier in the day.

Since January 21, Israeli forces have waged a large-scale offensive on Jineen and its camp, resulting in the displacement of approximately 22,000 residents, the killing of at least 40 Palestinians, and the injury of over 200 others.

Over 600 homes have been completely demolished, and nearly 15 roads bulldozed inside the camp, rendering Jineen refugee camp virtually uninhabitable.

On June 9, the occupation authorities issued demolition notices targeting 95 additional homes, adding to the hundreds already razed during the 161-day campaign. Since that date, occupation bulldozers have been demolishing homes almost daily in the neighborhoods of Al-Sumran, Al-Damj, Sharat Al-Sikka, 'Abdullah 'Azzam, and others

The Israeli occupation forces last Thursday issued land seizure notices for areas in Ya’bad town and Raba village south of Jenin, under the pretext of military purpose.

Illegal Israeli settlers burn hundreds of dunums of agricultural land, seize livestock northeast of Hebron

HEBRON, 30-6-2025 (WAFA) —

A group of the illegal Israeli settlers Monday set fire to hundreds of dunums of Palestinian-owned agricultural land in the town of Sa’ir northeast of Hebron, and seized around 96 livestock.

Citizen A'hmed Al Shalalda told Wafa that dozens of colonists from the illegal Israeli settlement of “Asfar” stormed the Khirbet Jurat Al-Khail area and set fire to hundreds of dunums of land planted with grapevines, almond and olive trees, and others. The land belongs to several Palestinian families.

The illegal Israeli settlers under the protection of Israeli occupation soldiers, also seized 96 livestock owned by a local resident.

Residents of the area reported that colonists, with the support of occupation forces, carry out these attacks as part of a systematic effort to forcibly displace local communities in favor of colonial expansion. They noted that such violations are recurrent, particularly by colonists from the “Asfar” and “Kedumim” colonies, with repeated incidents of livestock theft involving dozens of sheep.

The locals called on human rights organizations to assist them in curbing the attacks carried out by the occupation and its colonists.

Illegal Israeli settlers destroy dozens of olive trees in Masafir Yatta

Monday 30-June-2025

AL-KHALIL, (PIC)

A group of the illegal Israeli settlers wreaked havoc on an olive grove belonging to a Palestinian farmer in Susya village, east of Masafir Yatta in southern al-Khalil, on Monday.

Mu'hammed Makhamra, a farmer from Susya, reported that a group of settlers infiltrated into his grove and destroyed about 200 olive trees that had been planted eight years ago.

“I rely on farming as a primary source of income, but I face repeated attacks from settlers, including physical violence and destruction of trees,” Makhamra said.

Makhamra added that the settlers aim to render his land barren by destroying its trees, so they can justify seizing it under the pretext that it is uncultivated.

This incident came less than 24 hours after a similar attack in the northern West Bank, where settlers uprooted and damaged around 180 olive and citrus trees in 'Azzoun town, east of Qalqilya.

The Israeli occupation apartheid regime turns Al-Aqsa Mosque into the illegal settler Israeli setters' celebration venue, by holding a wedding ceremony in its courtyards

Al-Quds (occupied Jerusalem), 30-6-2025 (Wafa) —

The Israeli occupation apartheid regime escalated their violations against the Muslim holy site of Al-Aqsa Mosque on Monday by permitting a wedding ceremony for the illegal Israeli settlers inside the mosque’s courtyards. This act was slammed as “provocative and humiliating” and marks a new chapter in the ongoing Judaization of this holy site.

Al-Quds (occupied Jerusalem) Governorate stated in a press release that the transformation of Al-Aqsa into what resembles a public celebration hall for colonists constitutes a blatant violation of the mosque’s sanctity, a severe provocation to Muslim sentiments, and a deliberate attempt to impose a new reality aimed at erasing the Islamic identity of the site and facilitating its temporal and spatial division.

Videos circulated by activists on social media showed groups of colonists celebrating inside one of the mosque’s courtyards under tight protection from occupation police, who prevented any Palestinian efforts to intervene and stop the violation.

Al-Quds (occupied Jerusalem) Governorate condemned these acts as part of a systematic policy aimed at altering the mosque’s features and forcibly imposing occupation sovereignty. It emphasized that these repeated violations contradict international law and UNESCO resolutions, which recognize Al-Aqsa Mosque as a purely Islamic heritage site.

The governorate called on the international community and relevant UN bodies to take immediate action to halt these escalating violations and provide international protection for Islamic and Christian holy sites in occupied Jerusalem.

Al-Aqsa Mosque has been witnessing an unprecedented surge in daily colonists’ incursions, accompanied by tightened restrictions on worshipers’ access, fueling increased tensions in the holy city and raising the risk of further unrest.

Monday 30-June-2025

WEST BANK, (PIC)

Local sources said that Raja-i Al-Deek was crossing a road near the illegal Israeli settlement of Barkan in Saleeit when a speeding settler car hit him and wounded him.

The young man was rushed to the Martyr Yasir 'Arafat Hospital in Salfeet, where doctors described his health condition as “stable.”

In a separate incident, a horde of the illegal Israeli settlers attacked at dawn Shallal Al-'Auja village in the north of Aree'ha (Jericho).

According to Al-Baydar Organization for the Defense of Bedouin Rights, a group of settlers stormed the village and attacked the local residents and their property.

'Hasan Mulai'hat, general coordinator of the organization, described today’s settler attack on Shallal Al-'Auja as “part of repeated Israeli attempts to forcibly displace the residents of the Bedouin villages from the area, amid official Israeli complicity.”

Mardawi: Illegal Israeli settler attacks in the West Bank are sponsored by Netanyahu

Monday 30-June-2025

WEST BANK, (PIC)

Senior 'Hamas official Ma'hmoud Mardawi has accused the Israeli occupation apartheid regime Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, his government, and his occupation army of sponsoring the attacks and crimes committed by the illegal Israeli settlers, in the West Bank.

In a statement on Sunday, Mardawi expressed his belief that the Palestinian people and their resistance would continue their struggle against the occupation despite all the Israeli attempts to break their will and undermine their fortitude.

“The occupation cannot be ended without real resistance,” Mardawi said, stressing that “the Gaza Strip is spearheading major resistance against the aggression despite the enemy’s escalating crimes.”

Mardawi called on the Palestinian masses in Jerusalem, the West Bank and 1948 occupied Palestine to stand strongly in the face of the Israeli government’s attempts to Judaize the Aqsa Mosque.

He also urged the Arab and Islamic countries to take effective action to protect Al-Aqsa Mosque against desecration and Judaization.

The Israeli occupation apartheid regime gives a Maqdisi (Jerusalemite) 21 days to self-demolish his home

Monday 30-June-2025

Al-Quds (occupied Jerusalem), (PIC)

The Israeli occupation apartheid regime on Sunday issued a final demolition order for the home of Palestinian citizen Mousa Nihad Badran in the Al-Bustan neighborhood of Silwan, Al-Quds (occupied Jerusalem).

He has been ordered to self-demolish his home within 21 days, or else be forced to cover the entire cost of its demolition.

Since 7 October 2023, more than 33 homes have been demolished in Al-Bustan, as part of a systematic displacement policy that threatens dozens of Palestinian families in the area.

According to data from the Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission, Israeli forces carried out 74 demolition operations in May alone, affecting 121 structures, including 60 residential units (inhabited and uninhabited) and 37 agricultural facilities, across the occupied West Bank, including Al-Quds (occupied Jerusalem).

Silwan is one of the most targeted areas in occupied East Jerusalem for demolition and land confiscation by Israeli authorities.

Both international and Palestinian human rights organizations have confirmed that the Israeli occupation deliberately demolishes homes and restricts Palestinian construction in Al-Quds (occupied Jerusalem), while simultaneously accelerating the illegal Israeli settlement construction on occupied Palestinian land.

IOAR razes structures and burns house in the West Bank, serves demolition notices in Al-Quds (occupied Jerusalem)

Monday 30-June-2025

WEST BANK, (PIC)

The Israeli occupation apartheid regime (IOAR) destroyed, on Monday morning, structures and homes belonging to Palestinian citizens in different areas of the West Bank.

According to local sources, Israeli bulldozers demolished a number of agricultural walls and one water well in Silwad town in eastern Ramallah belonging to 'Abdul-Kareem 'Ayyad.

The sources said today’s demolitions were part of Israeli efforts to tighten the noose around the local residents and prevent them from reclaiming their lands.

In southern Nablus, Israeli forces bulldozed several residential and agricultural structures and tents in Khirbet at-Tawil hamlet near 'Aqraba town.

In Tulkarem, Israeli forces set fire to a house in Al-Manshiya neighborhood in Nur Shams refugee camp.

Meanwhile, the IOAR in Al-Quds (occupied Jerusalem) handed a Palestinian family a demolition notice against its own home under the pretext of unlicensed construction.

According to local sources, the Israeli municipality issued a demolition order to the family of prisoner 'Azeez Abu Ramouz, ordering it to demolish its own house in Silwan district at its own expense to avoid paying exorbitant fines and demolition fees.

Yesterday, the municipality issued a final demolition ultimatum for the house of Mousa Badran in Al-Bustan neighborhood of Silwan. He was given 21 days to carry out the demolition himself.

In a separate incident, Israeli police forces kidnaped a Palestinian young man from the main junction of 'Anata town in the northeast of Al-Quds (occupied Jerusalem).

Al-Quds (occupied Jerusalem), 30 June 2025 (Wafa) –

Israeli occupation forces Monday evening closed the Jaba’ military checkpoint northeast of Al-Quds (occupied Jerusalem), disrupting the movement of civilians and causing a severe traffic jam.

Several drivers reported that the Israeli occupation forces fired tear gas canisters and stun grenades toward vehicles near the checkpoint and seized the keys of several cars.

Since the ceasefire in Gaza went into effect on January 19, the Israeli occupation has intensified its military measures in the West Bank, erecting checkpoints and installing iron gates at the entrances of Palestinian towns and cities.

According to the Colonization and Wall Resistance Commission, the number of military checkpoints and iron gates set up by the occupation across the West Bank has reached 898. This includes 18 gates installed since the beginning of 2025 and 146 gates erected after October 7, 2023.

International Sociological Association suspends the membership of the Israeli Sociological Society, over silence on Gaza crisis

RAMALLAH, June 30, 2025 (WAFA) -

The International Sociological Association (ISA) has suspended the collective membership of the Israeli Sociological Society, citing its failure to clearly condemn the dramatic situation in Gaza.

In a statement, ISA said: “We regret that the Israeli Sociological Society has not taken a clear position condemning the dramatic situation in Gaza. In a decision that reflects the extraordinary gravity of the current situation, the Executive Committee has decided to suspend the collective membership of the Israeli Sociological Society (ISS).”

ISA reiterated its declaration that, as part of its public stance against the genocide of Palestinians in Gaza, it has no institutional relationships with Israeli public institutions.

The decision comes amid widespread opposition from academics and human rights advocates to Israel’s participation in the Association’s international forum scheduled for next month.

Last Wednesday, the Palestinian Campaign for the Academic and Cultural Boycott of Israel (PACBI) called on scholars in solidarity with the Palestinian people to pressure ISA to cancel the participation of Israeli academics.

In a public statement, PACBI urged researchers to end all forms of academic, economic, and institutional cooperation with Israel, which it says reinforces its illegal presence and apartheid regime in the occupied Palestinian territories.

WFTU condemns alleged operations that company SINEDOR is carrying out with Israeli companies

ATHENS, June 30, 2025 (WAFA) –

The World Federation of Trade Unions (WFTU), representing more than 110 million workers in 134 countries across five continents, strongly condemned the alleged operations that company SINEDOR, a Greek steel company, is carrying out with Israeli companies. The WFTU highlighted that the products offered by SINEDOR are being used to develop tanks involved in committing genocide against the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip.

In a statement, the WFTU strongly condemned any collaboration with the war machine of the murderous state of Israel and called for a boycott of Israel, especially regarding activities linked to its military operations and crimes against Palestinians.

The statement noted:

On January 26, 2024, the International Criminal Court ordered Israel to “take all possible measures” to “prevent” genocide in Gaza, recognizing that some of the rights claimed by South Africa and for which it sought protection were plausible.

On May 26, 2024, the International Court of Justice (ICJ) ruled that Israel must “immediately” stop its military offensive in Rafa'h, southern Gaza. This decision came in response to South Africa’s request as an emergency measure, stating that Israel’s activities in Rafa'h constitute a “genocidal” operation that threatens the survival of the Palestinian people.

On May 20, 2024, the chief prosecutor of the International Criminal Court announced he had requested arrest warrants against Israeli occupation apartheid regime's Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, and his Defense Minister, Yoav Galant, for committing war crimes and crimes against humanity in the Gaza Strip.

The WFTU concluded that if the reports about SINEDOR’s collaboration with the Israeli murderous state are true, it demands the immediate and unconditional end of this partnership without exception.

The statement said that there should be no support for the Israeli crimes and called for an end to the genocide and the freedom of Palestine. “No support for the Israeli crimes. Stop the Genocide – Free Palestine.”

Diplomatic delegation pays solidarity visit to Ramallah village targeted in killing spree

RAMALLAH, June 30, 2025 (WAFA) –

A diplomatic delegation on Monday evening paid a solidarity visit to Kafr Malik, the recent target of a killing spree by the Israeli occupation forces and colonists and located to the northwest of Ramallah.

Comprising ambassadors and representatives of 22 diplomatic missions and representative offices, the delegation made their way to Kafr Malik, where the occupying forces killed three civilians on Wednesday after intervening to protect colonists during a violent assault on the village.

Layla Ghannam, Ramallah Governor, and Mu-ayyad Sha'ban, head of the head of the Colonization and Wall Resistance Commission, along with representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs briefed the delegation on the situation of Palestinians suffering the brunt of Israeli violations and actions.

EU Representative to the West Bank and Gaza, Alexandre Stutzmann, stressed the joint responsibility of all actors to halt colonists’ violence, protect defenseless civilians in Palestinian villages and towns across the occupied West Bank, and hold the perpetrators accountable for their crimes.

He added that the visit was intended to convey a message of solidarity from the EU to the Palestinian people, while noting that the illegal Israeli settlers' attacks have reached an unacceptable level.

He reiterated the EU’s longstanding position that the illegal Israeli settlements in the West Bank constitute not only a clear violation of international law, but also an obstacle to peace, and that the final sustainable solution shall be based on the two-state solution.

More than 52 global trade unions demand immediate halt to Israel’s aggression on Gaza, support for Palestinian workers’ rights

RAMALLAH, June 30, 2025 (WAFA) –

The Secretary-General of the Palestinian General Federation of Trade Unions (PGFTU), Shahir Sa'd, praised an international statement issued by more than 52 global and Arab trade union federations demanding an immediate halt to the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip, the lifting of the siege, and full support for the rights of Palestinian workers.

Sa'd described the statement as a rare solidarity document that expresses the living conscience of the global labor movement, stressing that the ongoing aggression has caused more than 507,000 Palestinian workers to lose their livelihoods, in a humanitarian and economic catastrophe considered one of the widest in decades.

The statement said the destruction in Gaza has reached unimaginable levels, with entire neighborhoods destroyed, and workers killed simply because they were trying to survive. It said that what is happening is not just a war, but a systematic extermination targeting the existence of an entire people.

The statement held the Israeli occupation fully responsible for the committed crimes, calling for an immediate and comprehensive ceasefire, permanent opening of crossings, facilitation of unrestricted humanitarian and medical aid, and a halt to arms exports to Israel.

The statement also condemned the use of siege and starvation as weapons of war, demanding the lifting of restrictions on essential goods, medical supplies, and fuel, compensation for the affected, acceleration of the reconstruction of the Gaza Strip, and the release of all detainees and hostages.

The signatory unions affirmed the necessity of respecting international law and Security Council resolutions, supporting the establishment of an independent Palestinian state on the 1967 borders with East Jerusalem as its capital, and rejecting settlement and annexation policies that undermine peace prospects.

The statement pointed out that workers in the West Bank suffer from escalating settler attacks, land confiscation, discrimination, and daily humiliation, describing this as a form of apartheid and ethnic cleansing practiced without international accountability.

The list of signatories includes major trade unions from different continents.

In conclusion, Sa'd urged labor unions globally to strengthen their efforts by pressuring governments and broadening international solidarity campaigns in support of the Palestinian people's rights to life, dignity, and work, ultimately aiming to achieve the establishment of an independent Palestinian state and the fulfillment of their right to self-determination.

Editorial Notes about terms & names of people and places:

1. Names of people and places have been standardized to match standard Arabic grammatical rules.

2. Underlined letters and letters preceded by an apostrophe are references to Arabic letter sounds, which does not exist in the English alphabet.

3. The English letter i is equivalent to the Arabic short vowel known as kasra, as in Ibraheem and Qasim as well as in the English words sit and bit. So, it is incorrect to use it as a long vowel for such Arabic names as Jameel and Jibreel.

4. The English letter e is equivalent to the Arabi short vowel known as fat'ha, as in A'hmed and Mu'hammed.

5. It is more accurate to refer to the
land-grabbing Israelis, who establish illegal settlements in the Palestinian territory of the West Bank, as illegal Israeli settlers, than referring to them as colonists.

The term colony is a reference to a large entity or a country, such as American states before independence. It was also a reference to Egypt, and India, when they were British colonies.

In addition, the term "colony" represents a positive nostalgic theme, in the minds of native speakers of English, particularly in America and Britain.

6. It is more accurate to use the verbs "abduct" and "kidnap" than the verbs "detain" and "arrest," in reference to taking Palestinian citizens by force to prisons and interrogation centers, by Israeli occupation regime soldiers. This is because the presence of the Israeli occupation regime forces is illegal in the Palestinian territories, and they have no jurisdiction over the Palestinian people.
